Has anyone heard anything about a new golf course in or around Canadian? I have heard conflicting reports. First that the school district was building something (which I am pretty sure is accurate) and then I recently heard Tom Fazio has been brought in for a separate project. Their economic development person just said she had heard the same thing. Anyone know anything about this?

Haven't heard anything on this course but I know that Childress has a new course.

If it happens, it will be a links course design, and the designer will probably be Tom Doak. The location would be across hwy 60 from the current course. I hope it happens, as it would be a first class layout.

That is very interesting. Tom Doak seems like he would be a much much better choice than Fazio. I hope it happens.
