I am from West Texas, but my wife hates it out there. We are coming in for my old man's 50th birthday, and I would like to find a pretty swank place to stay while there. Any suggestions? Please refrain from any suggestions on Wall St. as I am familiar with Midland.

Hilton is as swanky as it gets in Midland... but it's on Wall. I can't think of anythign else near that nice. There are some new ones on the loop, like comfort suites, but they're probably not what you're looking for...
