I'm about to be offered a position as a project manager in Midland for a firm that specializes in rejection of nitrogen and other impurities from natural gas fields.

I am a well-experienced project manager, just not in that particular field. Midland is home. I want very much to get back, if the deal is right. I have a great job and am not necessarily unhappy. I want a fair salary for that position in that field. Anyone have any experience in that field and would have any idea of a salary range for that position?

Are you comfortable with the job you are asking to perform? If so, go home. If not, you will probably be stressed.

I lived away from "home" for over eight years and I know what you feel. Make sure it is something you think you have a chance with though as it is your career at stake.

So you basically tell the operators (O&G companies) when to shut their wells in or make adjustments because their wells exceed the N2 specs. Sounds like a pipeline and gathering job. I dont know if this a project manager type position.
