Wife and I have talked about moving to Midland (I was born there and lived there until I was 5). I am currently an energy banker in houston, but do not want to be a banker. Anyone have any good ideas? I would like to stay in the energy industry. Thanks.

I will just offer to keep your options open.

I am moving back to Midland, and while the position title is the same as my current position, it's in a field in which I have no previous experience.

The competition for qualified employees is so intense right now, that many firms are looking for folks that can exhibit a successful track record and a willingness and aptitude to adapt, as opposed to direct experience.

If there's anything in a job description that you can in some way relate back to your current function, it may be worth looking into.

Thanks for the advice. Not trying to limit myself, but I might jump out of a window if I had to do accounting all day. Which is what comptrollers usually do.

There is a new Nuclear Faciltity being built outside of Eunice near the Texas border. The company is called LES (It is where I work)and the facility is still being constructed.
