Going to be in San Angelo for a week for work.

Any good local eatery's to try out that are unique to San Angelo?

I havent ate there in 15 years, but this used to be one of the best...

I haven't eaten there in years as well, but I'll never forget Zentners Steak House.

Zenters is gone. Zentners daughter is open(tceh owned). If you want an adventure, try the brewery at the old Eola schoolhouse. The proprieter will most likely show you a really good time.

Other options, twin mountain steakhouse, lowake steakhose, Rosa's. Charcoal house is voted best burger nearly every year and their steak fingers are the best.

The Warf has some decent food as well. I like to eat at Hidalgos, but it may be a bit too authentic for you...

Wow, Zentners is gone but Lowake is still around? And Charcoal House? You mean the drive-in on Sherwood Way? I was there a couple of years ago, but I must not be looking around enough.

Charcoal House in at Ave M and Bryant Blvd. They also have a location on N Chadbourne, around 10th or 12th st. (haven't been on Sherwood way for 20+ years.)

Zentner's closed last year and Henry's bought it.

Also, Chilangos on S. Chadbourne is good.

Kenny Blaneks in the Village is good, for just plain old food, as well.

Franco's down on MLK. my favorite tex-mex in town.

i'm here for work this week too! is there anything opened late in this town other than normal fast food? by the way, if you're a coffee drinkers, i'd definitely recommend the texas coffee company on knickerbocker.

Western Sky on North Chadbourne is really good. It's now owned by Franco's, but has more seating than Franco's. It also has the option of steaks, burgers, Mexican. The German fries are really good for a change from fries or baked potatoes.

As for places that are open late, those are hard to find unless you go with Denny's or IHOP. On the weekends, most places are usually open until 10 at least, but weekdays are early closers!

Ahh, Franco's and Western Sky! I am ready to jump in the truck and go visit. I think Franco's has the best deal going with their Cafe Special. Ribeye, enchilada, beans and rice for $10. Cut the steak with a fork. Of course it tates better with about 3 to 5 cold millers.

Just ate at Zenter's Daughter's last week. Good steak, good prices, good service.

ahh yah francos is great...zetners steakhouse is gone and its now henry's steakhouse...it sucks...go to lowake instead(back how it used to be) prices have gone up but its dang good and worth the drive
