How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well I've exhausted a lot of my resources and two weeks in I'm getting no call backs from any applications I've put in so I figured I'd check you guys and see if you anybody on here knows of anything hiring in town.

I'm an Angelo State grad (t-shirt ag) w/ a Comm degree and minor in management. I've spent the last six years in technology and I've decided to get out of the field. I want to do something more active and with people instead of sitting at a desk all day looking at a computer.

Really interested in the oil and gas industry, but am looking for just about anything ( still not sure what I want to do yet)

Thanks in advance.

c-jags- I wish you luck. The company I left in '04 to come to TN will close their plant tomorrow or the next week. 45 folks looking for work. (Makes me glad I made the choice I did).

If the windmill company comes to town I am sure they will be looking for all sorts of folks, but Angelo is definitely in a bind for manufacturing jobs.

Plenty of service industry and retirement type stuff. Kinda sad.

Again, good luck.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

I've thought about them.

Oil-Gas and the like are something I'm interested in, but I'm waiting for a definite "No" on a job I'm more interested in.

Unfortunately cjags, what you are going through makes San Angelo what it is.

San Angelo would be a huge city because it is a nice pleasant slow motion style of city. But has never had the resources to bring in the amount of commerce to bring in the more higher paying jobs.

I think we would all love to be back there to make a living but have become acustomed to the pay that other parts of the country offer / along with the higher cost of living.

Good luck with your job hunt.
