i went out on my grandpas place in rowena...(between san angelo and abilene) we had all 7 of us get our limit in under an hour...also has ring-necks which have no limit and no season!

that's good. somebody was telling me that they got one bird out near eola and that dampened my spirits. hopefully it'll be better.

all you needed is a shredded maize field and water nearby and you are setwe got out there at 630 they started flying about 730 and were pretty much stopped by about 930...then they pick up again about 3

Great season so far! The birds are a bit smaller than usual, but they're plenty of them out in the sandhills.

I made a quick trip to Wall this weekend and the rain may have impeaded some of the hunting, but with all the maize this year, hunting should be good all season until the cold fronts move them down south.

I have lots of dove on the fields in Breham also, just haven't been able to hunt.
