uhhhhh, be real careful there. 2054 S Clack is the Las Brisas Apartment complex, hence the apt # after the address you just posted.
I'd think going to an apartment is NOT a good idea for a dinner out......unless your looking for some 'entertainment' with your meal.....

It was off of the lobby of a hotel. I wouldn't stay at the hotel, but the food was pretty good...

Joe Allen's is good, plus the bar area is neat. Check out the pictures of his race horses - he has one race horse, Pepper's Pride, that won nineteen consecutive races - she now holds the record for thoroughbreds in North America.
joe allen also got divorced. his wife got their barbecue place, he kept cahoots and joe allen's. cahoots was forced to close down and the building was sold to Spano's

Joe Allens is/was always good and Cahoots depended on the night. Joe's wifes BBQ place (Name?) was also good. But it has been about four year since I have been to either one, so things probably have changed.

Sharon's Lytle Land and Cattle Company is the name of her steakhouse. It's on the corner of Judge Ely and Highway 36, which turns into South 10th, I believe.
I'm a big fan of Los Arcos Mexican food. It's on Ambler just east of Hardin Simmons University.

I really like Los Arcos' hot sauce. My roommate always goes there but only orders the chicken fried steak. weird

La Popular--burritos (egg & potato are good). Nice bakery too.
I ate at Joe Allen's and Los Arcos both this week. I had the mini combo at Joe Allen's, and I was somewhat disappointed. The portions were large, and the sides were good, but the sausage tasted old, and the brisket had no flavor.
If you go to Los Arcos, DO NOT order the spinach enchiladas. They used canned spinach in them, and I dispise canned spinach.

El Fenix at S1st and Willis (Burro Alley shopping center) on Weds nights has a special on Chili Rellenos Very, very good stuff....
I'm partial to Alfredos for my breakfast burritos. Hard to beat the carne asada or the chorizo.

I miss Pizza America.
Pizza America was greatness. Sal Ambrosio is back up in Detroit now. I salivate every time I pass the old place on Mockingbird.
I thought that Sal went up the river.
I believe he did, for a short while. But after his little brother was killed at Rebecca Lane and 277 the entire family was never the same. They all moved back to Detroit.
