Are there some new apartments going up in Abilene? Southside? My daughter's looking for a place.

yes, between Catclaw Lane and John Knox Drive. Beside the Indian Run Apts, across the street from Academy. They look pretty nice, some have huge covered porches.

If it were my daughter, thats the area I'd want her living around. Not much trouble out there, plus all of the road work on Catclaw and Southwest Drive is almost done. Still alot to do along Clack and Danville (the frontage roads of Winters Frwy), but that ought to be done by Christmas.

Any of those in that area are nice. Look on Ridgemont Dr, Rolling Green Dr and Curry Ln. There's also a nice complex east of those between S Clack and Arrowhead, Arrowhead Apts.

Is the daughter here for school or new job?

if its ACU, HSU or TTU Pharmacy, those are all on the northside but only about 15 mins away from those southside apts. McMurry less than 10.

The Grove Apts are at N. Judge Ely Blvd and I20, about 5 blocks north of ACU. Built last year.

I've had a few friends live at The Grove. They have nothing but bad things to say about it and have moved out as soon as their lease is up
