We live near the A Street duck pond, and we heard and felt it. Was like a prolonged thunder.

CRed, Nice area around the A street duck pond, especially west of there. "Old Midland" is a great part of town. I do get homesick for the Tall City!! CRed, back in '65 I believe we had a huge flood in Midland (I was 5)and the entire A street park area was under water. There is a contemporary house I believe on the corner of A and Harvard(?) possibly if I remember correctly, the water was up to the roof of that house. I have some great old Midland Reporter Telegram papers from that day. Hundreds of homes in that part of town were under water!!
