My last job has had me driving all over West Texas and as i was going to see family this last week I thought about all the food I'll be leaving behind when we move to (I-35) this next month.

I thought I'd found the world's best CFS in Strawn at Mary's. And then I found better in Palo Pinto at the Palo Pinto Cafe.

We're about to head out to Kerrville for the weekend, but we'll stop in Junction at Mi Familia. One of the best enchilada plates I've found. Tomorrow night we're eating at the Cowboy Steakhouse in K'ville. I've never ate there, but some of my hunting-obsessed buddies claim its good....

lampasas and hamilton are barely west texas... barely.

but they are great. used to eat at the one in San Saba all the time.

you could probably argue forever what is west and what is not.....as long as its not DFW or Houston I dont care....
