the last two times I have been out to BB, I had Sprint and could not get any reception.

I am going out for a week this coming weekend and now have AT&T. Does anyone know if that works in the park.

I was in Big Bend last October and a friend of mine that went with me had AT&T. He had no reception anywhere until we got back to the Alpine area. I have Verizon and I could make phone calls from Panther Junction, but it was not real consistent. It seemed to work better in the evenings.

sprint wont work anywhere out there except maybe alpine and even there it used to work a couple years ago. AT&T will work around alpine.

had a great trip..

just FYI..there is coverage around Panther Junction, coming down from Chisos Basin around the 3 mile marker and around Castolon.

Also, as we were hiking up to the south rim, around the back side about 3/4 the way up, my phone started buzzing, etc..actually had a little coverage there.
