Probably just looking for interstate travelers.
Same reason you have nicer hotels in places like Big Spring, Fort Stockton, Junction. I had a hard time finding a hotel room in Trinidad Colorado last month and it's no destination but is on the interstate.

It could be to house the people who are building wind turbines. I remember when they were building turbines around Rankin and all of a sudden there was a new hotel. That's just my guess.
Probably for all the customers that Sam's Military Surplus Store brings in!!
