Normally like to cook a good breakfast on the weekends. But occasionally we like to go somewhere for Saturday morning breakfast.

Our standard destination is Oscar's, but there's got to be some local places both mexican and american that we're missing out on. Love me some stew meat burritos at Jumburrito, but their breakfast tacos are pretty average, IMO. IHOP's okay, but I prefer local joints. I could go the rest of my life without eating at Cracker Barrel and it would suit me just fine.

Anybody got any decent suggestions?

Go try brunch at The Bar. It is good stuff.

I hadn't thought of that, jw. Good call.

I'm assuming they let kids in there for brunch?

I believe they do. I actually just ate lunch there and there were kids.

El Burrito on Big Spring has the best burritos in town.
For bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, etc. and a "non chain", try Lori's, Greens or Main Street Cafe.

El Burrito. Can't beat their chorizo and egg breakfast burrito, unless maybe it's their migas!

I go to El Burrito pretty regularly as its not too far from my office. Damn good.

I will have to go on the weekend and try the migas. That's what I'm looking for is some good sit down breakfast.

Man you gotta try Lori's. Best down home breakfast ever! Corner Wall and Garfield, always crowded.

Cowtown head south on Big Spring south of Downtown and there are several really good Mexican breakfast style places- El Banquete, Main Street Tortilla, and several others. Pretty good food although some are a little on the spicy side but most of them do have non-spicy portion on their menus also. Also on way south Midkiff Rd past I-20 there is a little hole in the wall place that I do not remember the name of. Out by the airport is Fabelas just turn west right across from the Stripes and go about two blocks. Hope this helps.

Brunch at Wall Street Bar and Grill is pretty reasonably priced and good food.
