Does anyone have any recommendations on someone in Midland to do some repair work on my lawn sprinkler system?

What do you need repaired? I know a guy who does good work, but he's booked up right now.

The reason I asked "what" is if you are not getting any water out of your sprinklers, then you probably don't want to wait on this guy. He is installing a system for a friend currently.

Thanks for the quick reply. It isn't anything major. Mainly just need heads replaced, adjusted, etc. I have done a few of them myself, but I just don't seem to have the time to get it all done. That, and it's really hot.

What kind of issues are you having? I Work in the greater Houston area but I will be in San Angelo July 4th weekend. I also can recommend Key Sprinkler Co. out of San Angelo. I'm not sure if they are currently doing residential but it could be worth a call. Let me know if I can be of any help.

I have some heads that are not spraying in a uniform pattern (I am sure they just need cleaned/replaced). I have a couple of places where the elbows broke below the sprinklers. It is mostly just small issues like that, things I could/probably should do myself.

However, I think one of my zones has too many heads on it and is not getting enough pressure to the heads.

I am probably just going to hold off and see what the City does about the new watering restrictions in the next couple of months. Good chance we are only going to be allowed to hand water pretty soon.

You are right about that. Too many cities about to pump Ivie dry. I read that Midland is about to resrict watering but I don't know to what extent.

I always used Evergreen in Midland and every time he came out there I watched everything he did. I am now comfortable doing all but the underground wiring and electric shut off valves. I had to clear out mud in the system on my lower valves (yard slopes) but thats not too bad with the right tools. Soft-jawed vice grips and another plier to twist and aim. Sure I leave looking like a drowned rat but saved my usual $100-250 bill to have someone else fix'em.
But my system could be 30 years old.

Looks like we are going to 2x per week. We are not replacing any potted plants that got frozen in the winter.

Please rain please.

I apologize for not getting back to you on this. Unfortunately the person I was telling you about is covered up for now. It will be a few weeks until he can take on anything else.

I use Mario Morales, 661-2562, he is licensed and very good. Has always been reasonable too. He is probably very busy right now, but give him a call.
If it doesn't rain soon, your not going to be able to use it anyway and might as well wait till winter. I need a bunch of sprinkler work too, but I'm going to wait till fall to even try to schedule him.

Yeah, I think I have decided to just wait and get it looked at in the winter. Probably save some money. I will keep the guy's number though and call him then. Thanks for the help.

Contact Benmark Supply here in town and they will probably be able to point you in the right direction for someone to do some sprinkler work for you.
