Any guesses on what the wind got up to for that five or ten minute stretch? 60mph, 70mph, ?

I hate it was wasted in Midland. We really need it here in Howard County, before we burn up.
Midland hasn't had measurable rain since October ... They needed that and more... It wasn't wasted
It appears to be the Summer Monsoon....
Really a NM, AZ and West pattern, but it will sometimes get as far east as Midland, but it never creeps over into the Concho Valley and we need it as well....

I really do appreciate the rain on my yard, but honestly I would prefer the 3 lakes that Midland draws water from to be full or filling.
I swear my grass look twice as green since REAL rainwater soaked it.
Midland/Odessa needs desalination or some other source also.
Are we not sitting on an ocean of salt water?

Got a pretty good soaking last night, maybe 1/2" or more in about 30-45 minutes. Then in continued to lightly sprinkle after that. I just hope some that rain made it to the Colorado River basin. It also rained in Odessa before I left work. Hopefully everyone got something out here.
I'm not going to complain about the rain...but did it HAVE TO HIT ONE THE ONE DAY I'M MOVING FURNITURE ACROSS TOWN?
Keep up the rain dances; forecast says we may get a more showers tonight and tomorrow morning!

Got 3-4 inches of glorious rain in san angelo. It flooded a lot of the roadways.

my rain gauge runnethed over, 5"+ on saturday, ivie didn't catch as much as I hoped but guess all the holes on the concho had to fill up, now it's primed for a big rain!

Those August rains have helped my feed bill. Hope we get some more soon.
