Accounting grad from ACU ('09 undergrad, '10 MAcc) here...good luck on the next level!
Condley and Company and Davis Kinard usually take on summer interns but a lot of the interns are hired into the company after their internship- it never hurts to give that a shot, though. I know the Big 4 will have recruiters on campus throughout the semester. However, getting a good internship (and your first job) really depends a lot on your GPA. Unless you know a recruiter personally, most Big 4 internships won't even interview you unless you have a 3.5. Even though you aren't pursuing public accounting specifically, having a solid understanding of how the public side works will help you when looking at certain specializations after law school.
Pay a visit to Karen or Evy in the COBA office and get the schedule for on-campus interviews, and take a look at ACU careerlink for other opportunities. Smaller firms around town might be looking to take on an intern right now to do some simple tax returns and help with the back office duties that go to the wayside during tax season (bookkeeping clients, payroll, etc). This would get you a little more experience before going to grad school and also give you an idea of what else there is to do in accounting besides public audit and tax.
