It may take you out of the way, but I have heard there is a shrimp farm in Imperial, Texas that is awesome.

Probably take you too far out of range, but may want to plan a trip by there when you play a little closer to Imperial. Imperial is about 80 miles west of Iraan.

I don't think the OA would want to pony up for a trip 80 miles out of my way when I'm only going 80 miles out to iraan in the first place. They might not see eye-to-eye with me on turning a 160-mile round trip into 320.

There's gotta be plenty of premium road kill for you to pick up along the way. Mmmmm... tasty varmits.

If you're going from Wink to Iraan, it's out of your way, but Ozona has several good places to eat. It's always surprised me, considering the size of the town.

Nevermind, turns out I'm headed to Big Spring for the big Andrews game instead. Any suggestions?

I know you're all on pins & needles. I was told about some place in Big Spring on the main drag but I couldn't find it and ended up eating at KFC.

We had supper last night at The Bar in Midland on our way to the MHS an Abilene High game. Just as good as I remember, but they've opened a new outdoor patio that gives them a bunch more room. Check it out next time you're in Midland.

I didn't know Big Spring had anything more exciting than KFC...

A little late, but is the Red Mesa Grille still open? I tried it a couple of time several years ago. Was decent. (Which for Big Spring rates it 4 stars)

Casa Blanca, Carlos, Spanish Inn, Hunan Chinese and Dell's Cafe arw the best in town. We have better than KFC, although a good choice, in our fair town.

Red Mesa is the one I was looking for. Couldn't find it.

What about Cowboys Restaurant (I think that's the name)? Is that still open? We used to eat there when we went out to Howard College for Area II FFA Leadership Contests.

I remember they had a monstrosity of a large-sized chicken fried steak that my best friend valiantly attempted to eat, but his 140 lb. couldn't quite handle it.

It is on 87 north of the south side loop, 300? On the east side at the top of the rise. Not sure of the cross street.

Will do. Lord knows I wouldn't have gotten this job without the same thing happening to me, they never really advertised the opening.
