...Rosa's and Abuelo's(Actually out of Lubbock I believe) are coming to B/CS-both are being built across from the Hilton near the new TGIFriday's, PeiWei, Jamba Juice and Carrabba's. They are building a small lake/pond area and adding restaurants around it. Should have some outdoor eating areas too!!

Hey it's a slow news day, it's the best I could get excited about. Good news through anyway!!!

Heard there is another Mexican place out of Austin that is going to be built by the new Olive Garden by the Home Depot on University. Don't think it is a Chuy's but a good eatery from what I have heard. Freebirds is also building by the Home Depot too so there will be 4 in B/CS now. I also read that a new Steak and Sushi House is coming in to somewhere along University. I can not believe all the new restaurants and such coming to B/CS.

A high school buddy and I were at TGI Fridays during finals and it thrilled us to death to see the construction sign for Abuelo's next door. That's one of my family's favorite places to eat in Abilene.

I ate at one of the new Rosa's in Abilene for the first time last weekend, and I've got to say, I'm very impressed. Food was good and quick, price was cheap; it blows Taco Cabana out of the water. I had heard a rumor that they were putting one in in C.S., but I didn't know where. Thanks for the update.

My dreams have come true!! I will be camped out at Rosa's for opening day. It's about time. I've always thought Rosa's would make a killing in this town. They blow TC out of the water.

Oh man I was pumped to see Rosas and Abuelos!

Holy crap! Rosa's making it out of West Texas is a very good sign. Now if it can just migrate just a little further to Houston. Seriously, as a previous poster said, Rosa's is infinity times better than Taco Cabana.

Man I'm gonna open a Freebirds in Odessa, just to see what happens.

I was in CS over the weekend and saw the Abuelo's sign, but didn't see one for Rosa's? Anyone know where it will in be relation to Abuelos's

I too, lived in Midland. Grew up there for 18 years. Rosa's is a great great fast food Mexican Place. CS people will love this addition.

I just came back in town from the Christmas break and saw the Rosa's Cantina sign for the first time. It's going to be west of the Abuelo's on University, just to the east of the Blockbuster on that vacant piece of ground.

WOW, I wrote a letter to Rosa's one time saying that if they built in CS they would dominate the city. They kicked the hell out of Taco C.

I wonder if they heeded my advice?

Bobby Cox, who started Rosa's and Texas Burger and is a huge Blockbuster franchise holder has got the Midas touch. He also had some Taco Bell knockoff that he ended up selling to Pepsi or someone for big bucks.

And dang, he is from Odessa.....
