I think most of us saw the court hearing for him and he will most likely be sent to the pen. I think everyone that saw him play knows how good he could have been at A&M and like Eric Mayes its just a bad deal but Eric Mayes didnt do that bad of a thing but Trent Hines is just a waste of God given talent and probably won't do much more in life.

Since nobody else will ask I'll do it. Who exactly is Trent Hines, and what type of offense did he commit?

Trent Hines was a running back that attended Lee High School and he was a big running back that was fast. He wasn't big like Jorvorskie Lane, but with some good coaching he could have become the next Cedric Benson and was like Cedric in every way. Then he got into drug trouble and he almost got sent to jail. Then not to long ago about 1 month ago he was charged for rape and now will probably be going to jail and will not be attending A&M.

After typing my last response, I did a Yahoo search on Trent Hines and found a Midland newspaper article about his arrest on the rape charges.

In the long run, it sounds like the football program will be better off without his presence.

If he dodges the prison time, he will probably go the JuCo route and come back to haunt us some day at another school.
