Anybody out there know anything about Del Rio? I've accepted an awesome job down there and will be moving there in the next couple of months. I'm looking to rent a small house not too far from the business district but, knowing little about the town, I'm not sure what my options are.

It had better be an awesome job to move there. My wife has to go there a couple times a month for her job and I don't get any good vibes. If the lake ever fills up it might be ok.

You can always go across the river to Acuna for Mexican food at Crosby's or another I can't remember the name of!

It's a phenomenal job. And yeah, I've heard great things about Ma Crosby's.

I am with 77 on this one....What kind of gig did you snag in DR?

My coworker fishes the lake quite a bit and does really well....It is one of the better lakes in Texas for most anything.

Edit- Landos is the name of the other eating joint. I think it has an old one in town and a nicer place on the outskirts. And......there are always the bullfights! Ole!

Los Tacos beside the Chevrolet house is awesome. Ice cold Tecate con limon, with a frosty mug. Rough Canyon Marina and the Devil's River, on Lake Amistad, are cool to cruise on sea doos or a house boat

I live in Del Rio, and love it. We just got a Home Depot (Woohoo). The lake is down a bit, but still much fuller then 4 years ago. One little secert about a acuna. There is a sports bar behind La Macarena, that lets you put a little action on games. My wife is a realtor here so if you are going to be looking let me know.
