Panchito's at the Paseo in San Angelo. Whenever the DD's come home, that's where they want to go. Also where we head when we've been out of town for a couple of weeks & get back.

I am surprised that there are not more "home grown" places. Taco Villa y Bueno? I wouldn't expect that.

I was actually in Odessa this past weekend. Here were the places we ate:

Taco Villa (3 times)
Barn Door
La Bodega

As far as the Villa vs. hole-in-the-wall, I think anyone who has moved from West Texas misses the taste of Taco Villa, especially when you're only alternative is the kangaroo meat & soy curd that is Taco Bell.

I love Chico's tacos...and remember eating so many of those tacos covered in cheese and hot sauce. We would visit family in El Paso & I can remember those tacos just like it was yesterday! Sure wish I had some right now!

If you're familiar with Lubbock, it's on 19th right near Lubbock Christian. It's not the best food in the world by any means, but it's 24 hours and it tastes like gold when you've had some beers. I highly recommend their breakfast burritos. They're no Josie's, but they're a helluva lot cheaper.
