I may have to negotiate a salary for a summer clerkship in Midland. I will be a third year law student at Tech in the fall. I am in the top 25% of the class with mock/moot and all of that stuff.
The firm is a three person firm that does mostly PI and general civil work. I have no idea for a starting place to negotiate off of. Any advice or pointers would be welcome.

If you have not done so you may want to post this on the Job Network board too. Just a suggestion. Also good luck, hope you enjoy Midland for the summer, I grew up there and it is a nice place. Make sure you go to Summer Mummers once during the summer-fun and a unique experience for sure!!

Sorry I do not have any advice on your main question but good luck to you!!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was going to post it on the Job Network board, but was limited to the one topic a day rule as a rook. Also, I grew up in Big Spring. I love Summer Mummers.

You need to call Drew or Glynna in Big Spring. They will give you some help. Come see me. You and your brother worked for me.

Hey Fuzzy,

That is a good idea. I may try to give them a call today or tomorrow. I think I am going to be in Big Spring tomorrow afternoon, so I will try to stop by. I may call you at work today too if you are going to be there. I lost your mobile number. You can e-mail me at jwnichols05@hotmail.com if you want.
