Is the aggie happy hour going to be this week, or did it get canceled/changed due to the holiday???

The El Paso social held at Monteleone's has been moved to next Thursday, July 12. Same time--around 6 p.m. or so.

Since this Wednesday is the July 4 Holiday, a lot of people are planning an extended weekend. The luncheon will be moved to July 11, and we will also move the social to July 12.

I will send details next week.

I am a quite frequent attendee to the Wednesday social, when the Army allows me the time. The last time I went to the Thursday night event there were about 5 older guys drinking. Are you guys telling me it is worth trying again?

It has actually picked up lately. Last month there were 18-20 people (most I've ever seen). It has been pretty slow in the past but hopefully the increase in folks will continue. There were people of all ages. Come on back Obejuan.

1.) Monthly luncheon is tomorrow, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Cappetto's 2716 Montana (near Piedras St. at Montana) (915) 566-9357 at 12:00 pm noon. Cappetto's is owned by the Davis family. Ed Davis is a very devoted and generous Ag!!

Note: Gary is providing summer specials on the back patio. They are grilling a variety of hamburgers with home made buns, special beef hot dogs, Italian fries, chili cheese fries, Italian nachos, and snow cones. Of course, they also offer their regular Italian menu. These summer items are offered on Friday and Saturday evenings, but they are extending it on Thursday for us. Be sure to bring family and friends and let's RRRooock!!!!


2.) Social is scheduled for this Thursday July 12, 2007 at
Monteleone's Ristorante Italiano located at 3023 Gateway West at San Marcial. Purely social and enlightening. Families, spouses and friends are always welcome and encouraged. Parking is on San Marcial. Phone 566-4320. From the East take the Piedras exit, from West take Piedras /Raynor exit. Turn left (North on Raynor), and then turn right on Missouri and go one block to San Marcial and turn right. This gets under way starting around 5:30 to 6:00 pm. We eat dinner and usually stay a couple of hours. Purely social and enlightening. Families, spouses and friends are always welcome and encouraged. This gets under way starting around 5:30 to 6:00 pm. Obejuan, my wife says mint tea helped her with her pregnancy sickness so you might want to try that and your tummy should be okay. Oh, and have your wife drive...you don't need the stress of traffic in your expectant condition.
