This weekend was my parent's 40th anniversary, and there were lots of us in town for it, including my roommate. Due to the number of people at my parents, several of us kids stayed at a hotel while the dogs stayed at the 'rents.

Sunday morning around 9 it was discovered 3 of our dogs got out of the fence. We found 2 of them within a couple of hours, but we still have not found the third.

Maggie is a honey brown colored Great Dane mix. She is about 95 pounds right now. She has (or at least had)on a red collar with tags. This dog is more than just a companion. It is my roommate's dog that her husband gave her before he left for Iraq so that she would not be alone. We are all really torn up about this.

If you see, have, or know who has Maggie, PLEASE let me know...PM me, call animal control, call Dr. Underbrink's office, or call the number on the tag...I know its long distance, but thats why I gave you 2 other local places to call.

Maggie is a wonderful sweet dog, but is pretty skiddish around people she doesnt know, so I'm not sure how willing she would go to anyone.

We really would like to get this dog back, and would GREATLY appreciate any help we could get.

no sign of her today...

there was a lady that talked to my mom and she was nearly in tears bc she say Maggie yesterday and knows my mom....she never even thought about Maggie visiting mom & dad

my roommie is not doing well in this...heck, neither am I. its not my husband, but Maggie has lived with me since she was 8 weeks old. I miss her

THEY FOUND MAGGIE!!!!

Some couple on the edge of town (Javelina, down Ailsie just before Hwy 77) found her.

They had been trying for 2 days to get her (they found her yesterday) and it took until a little while ago that they were able to catch her bc she is so leary of strangers. They caught her bc she was trying to go under a fence to a dog that apparently looks a lot like Jack (my dog).

They caught her from behind and put a leash on her.

They called the number on the tag and it went to voicemail bc my roommie doesnt get reception at work and then they called the local vet who gave them my dad's work number

They refused the reward we offered. Said they hoped someone would do it for them as well.

And Maggie was soooooo excited to see mom and dad.

My dad called my roommie and talked the principal into getting her out of class to come to the phone so he could tell her

Dr. Underbrink is still in business?

He used to take care of our dogs 25+ years ago.

slicer, yes, Underbrink is still there. He's been taking care of our dogs/cats for 17+ years...

he's getting ready to retire. He's brought in a young vet thats probably going to eventually take over.

Underbrink is a great vet, I enjoy working with him...
