Make sure you show your support for new Aggie president Dr. Murano.

She's already being judged before taking office for a variety of reasons:
1. being a woman (although I can understand) LOL
2. being Cuban/Hispanic
3. her Agriculture credentials

Lets give her our full support. Not because of the above, but because she is our new university leader.

She's not being judged.....the process in which how she was selected and the BOR are being judged.

I just found out that a woman is going to be president of Texas A&M.

I think she is being judged because, we dont know anything much about her. The A&M faculty made this an issue by trying to tell the BOR who they should choose. Does she represent the values that have made A&M into a great university? Will she continue to press the goal set forth by the previous administration? Is she a selection based on political correctness? Will she represent the university in a way that will make us proud?

I worry that we are getting another, Bambi! I hope that I am wrong, I frequently am.

I understand the process by which she was chosen was debated.
I myself may have run the search a bit differently and I definitely hope she is not a choice stemming from political correctness.

But the choice is made and we must unite behind our new president and hope she continues the path blazed by her predecessor.

Dont let the Cav hear about this.
