It is difficult to imagine any of the current Democrat or Republican candidates serving as President, least of all Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Benjamin Franklin made it and he was a notorious womanizer, had "out of wedlock children" and wasn't even President. Ole' Abe was one of the most unpopular presidents ever. Most thought he was a stupid "bumpkin", including his cabinet members.

Much the same can be said of Harry Truman, especially when he relieved a very popular General Douglas MacArthur during the Korean conflict. The press thought that Harry was the stupidest person ever in the White House. Remember, Harry - a Democrat, was the only president to use nuclear weapons on the civilian population of another country. Is that when you changed from the Democratic to Republican party?

Perhaps Harry can replace Sacagawea on the dollar coin.

The Clinton's private life has nothing to do with their ability to be president.

I would have rather taken Bill Clinton over GWBush for the last 8 years.

In my opinion, GWBush will go down as one of the worst presidents this nation has ever seen.

Although he may have had the nation's interest at heart, his decision-making and arrogance has been detrimental to our country and has setback my kids generation.

With that said, I'm not sure I'm voting for Hillary.

Many believe that you judge a person by what they do, not what they say. Why would we believe that a person who is dishonest privately, would be any more honest in public?

Perhaps I owe you an apology. You are just excited about supporting your candidate, and that's good.

The real reason I originally responded to this was because I question the integrity of the leadership at UTPA for sponsoring a clearly political event at a public university. This sends a message that a public institution is supporting one particular candidate. In the past Alanzo Cantu has supported the Clintons' visits to the valley, and that is great. The idea that Mrs. Clinton or any other candidate or party is given special treatment by the administration of a public institution is improper.

If Othal Brand, while mayor of McAllen, had used his influence in the Republican Party to use city facilities and made it a city sponsored event, it would have been just as wrong. Democrats would have been outraged, and rightly so.

I am excited that Hillary is coming to town. Don't bash it just because you don't approve of her.

No wai that a Republican will with this election. It will be Hillary or Obama. We need a leadership change in America.

Bill Clinton's presidency was one of the most economically benefital times of our country and Americans are wanting that again, even if it means "terrorism" may rise. We vote with our wallets and Bush is spending our money irrationally.

I was wrong about it being held at UTPA. It is going to be at the McAllen Convention Center.

Interesting to watch, but she better not discount the other state primaries before ours, or it'll be an uphill battle to catch up. Obama is picking up steam and some of her staff has already started to bail on her...not to mention the superdelagate numbers now going to her opponent.

I still have a hard time thinking that she'll step aside (assuming Obama takes a large deleagate lead) for the betterment of her party.

Hillary is just like one of us. Working hard for hard working Americans. I hope she wins.
