College Station ISD is hiring two Dual Language teachers, and one Special Education teacher with Bilingual Certification. The dual language teachers would be teaching 6th grade in a 50/50 program. There is also a stipend for all three positions!

You better put something on the East Texas board too in case someone of Cajun descent wants to bring their English and French skills to CCISD.

Yup, any of you valley rats who speak Italian or Arabic, CCISD is just chompin' at the bit to speak with you.

I am sure that you know that UTPA is the largest teacher preparation school in the state. Unfortunately for upstate districts, it has been very difficult to convince kids from the valley to move upstate. The big districts (Dallas and Houston) have had some success with offering large bonuses and higher salaries. I didn't check out the CSISD website but generally college towns don't have any difficulty in getting teachers so they don't offer the higher salaries and bonuses.

The valley has "employment fairs" for teachers and that might be an opportunity. The CS human resources folks would have to come down and attend.
