I drove through Freer today and the rattlesnake round-up is being advertised. It takes place the last Saturday of this month. Someone tell me about it. I may want to make a visit to it. What are the events? How long do events last? What is offered that weekend?

Its a contest for people who catch rattle snakes they will have awards for longest,heaviest,most brought in and what not. Its been years since I went but we placed second for most brought in and 2nd for largest. From what I understand it has grown quite a bit.Some good fried rattle snake. Jason Boland performs this year.
