
A Reynosa man is behind bars after he allegedly tried to smuggle 9.1 pounds of cocaine in his truck’s battery.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested the 29-year-old Reynosa man on Friday.
The man’s name was not released but customs officers told Action 4 News that he drove up to the Progreso International Bridge in a Dodge Ram truck.
Customs officers allegedly found six packages with 9.1 pounds of cocaine worth $292,000 dollars hidden in his truck’s battery.
The 29-year-old man remains in custody where he faces federal drug charges.
