on a serious note though if a major rain producing hurricane ever hits the valley will be worse off then NO,LA. My mother lives in Harlingen right off the Arroyo Colorado. During hurricane dolly 2 years ago that river rose over 25 feet. If it would have crested the entire Treasure Hills Country Club and medical district of Harlingen would have been mushy.
