The 4th is my favorite holiday. I always barbeque and have family over. After everyone has eaten their fill and told all the lies that we can think of, most everyone drives over to McHi to see the fireworks display. The kids look forward to this all year.
The city of McAllen decided that they were going to celebrate the 4th on the 3rd of July. What a idiotic decision. I don't think that I have ever heard of moving the 4th! I guess next year we can look forward to the possibility that Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years might be moved for the convenience of the city.
They better not move my B'day...Cinco de Mayo!
