Hey Ags, I'm going to be in the Harlingen/Weslaco area for business and am looking for a good restaurant for dinner Monday night. I saw that La Playa was recommended but I have my fill of Tex Mex and Mexican food in San Antonio. Any other recommendations for maybe a good steak or seafood?

If you cross off TexMex there isn't much left in Weslaco. (Not much there to start with.) It's been a long time since I lived in Harlingen so you probably need someone from there to make a suggestion. If you are looking for steak the best is probably Landsky and Brats on Nolana in McAllen. Papadeaux's in McAllen is not open for another month.

I take it back. There is one place I like in Harlingen called the Lone Star. I usually eat grilled fish there. Food is good, huge portions.
