Our A/C went out last night about 7:00 p.m. naturally after working hours. I paid extra for an overtime guy to come out after dark... He didn't have the right part so we were without for the night. Hopefully they will be here this morning to replace the part.

Having grownup in a non-air conditioned world back in the 50s you would think we would be a little tougher but I guess I am just soft like everybody else. (I have an excuse...I am old!)We lived on a farm north of Alamo growing up and I can remeber the hot days. In the afternoon my mom would give my brother and I a pie pan with ice cubes and we would go sit under a tree and eat them.

Now I am hot when the temperature in the house gets "all the way" up to 82! What a pansie!

time to get a big fan that goes well next to the TV.

but on a serious note i have been in mexico for the past 2 months and no one here has air conditioning, even the rich. funny though, mexico (not north mexico) is actually cooler than texas, alot cooler. we are going back tomorrow and i am already dreading the heat.

Well, we have had an unusually cool summer so far so I guess we can't complain when S. Texas is hot in August!
