They didn't miss this. It had been in the news for possile development for 3 days before. Gulf storms can form very quickly.

1/2 inch of rain and no wind...not much of a storm in Edinburg. In fact last Friday afternoon we had 4" on rain. I'm happy we didn't need anymore rain.

Lame storm. The rib came in from work yesterday and asked about any updates on the tropical storm. I hadn't even heard anything about a storm. No wind, barely any rain. If she wouldn't have mentioned anything, I wouldn't have even known.

it tore up everything from harlingen to raymondville. telephone poles and trees were down everywhere. i saw one billboard and a highway exit sign torn down. about 80% of raymondville was without power and harlingen was spotty.

east end of valley got whacked. 60 mph sustained and 70 mph gust at harlingen airport.
