I know they were hoping to be open sometime in November but that was back in July.

and the Riverside Club has been renamed Club in the River....

I thought that they had a little item on Channel 5 and the gist of it was that they were not going to reopen the old place because of the potential flooding but that they were going to rebuild further back away from the river. Seems like this was about a month or two ago.

It's the end of an era folks, and very disappointing....Here's the facts. The rib and I have driven by there every Sunday since the flooding started. (The ride helps my son take a nap in the afternoons.) Pepe's is done for good. I called the old man two weeks ago and he said the property is for sale. "Too much work", he said, to get it opened. Both lots combined, he selling for 1.5 million. I asked if he accepted checks...

Well that sucks.

Considering the location, I bet he will be lucky to get 10% of that.

I kinda laughed myself when he said 1.5. The fact of the matter is that each of those lots are for sale in between Pepe's and the Riverside Club. (which is rebuilding.) I'm not sure how much they're going for, but I'm not expecting them to sell anytime soon.

Johnny had the riverside club fixed up nice. The few times I went there it was a cool place.

That is prime drug smuggling land too.
