The following are the basic official rules and regulations of the 2011 RA Scholarships Corps Turd Fishing Tournament. It is the contestantfs responsibility to read, understand, and comply with all of the rules outlined below. Noncompliance will be grounds for ass beating. By entering this tournament, each contestant agrees to abide by these rules and regulations and agrees that any decisions of the Tournament Directors will be final. THE RA SCHOLARSHIP TRUSTEES AND TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY INTO THE
TOURNAMENT TO ANY OBNOXIOUS T-SIPS, RED RAIDERS, OTHER 2 PER CENTERS, NON-BELIEVERS, OR OTHER AGGIE HATERS.
1. IGFA rules apply. Anglers must have a current fishing license.
2. All participants must fish from a boat with rod and reel. Wade fishing is permitted.
3. All tournament participants are assumed to be amateur anglers and not commercial fisherman or professional guides. This tournament does allow the use of guided boats, although each individual angler is expected to weigh in only fish that they caught, and all participants are expected to follow these rules on their Aggie Honor. Nuff said.
4. All anglers must pre-register for the tournament prior to 10:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Fishing may begin anytime after 6:30 AM on
Thursday, July 28, 2011.
5. Each angler will be allowed to weigh in their largest Trout, Redfish, and Flounder (one fish per species, per angler for a total possible combination of 3 fish total per angler). Each boat team will be allowed to weigh in 2 fish per species, for the boat team award.
6. Winning fish for each species will be determined by heaviest weight. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by length, and then by earliest weigh-in time.
7. Fish must be caught on a rod and reel with live, dead or artificial bait.
8. Weigh-in time begins at 1:00 pm and ends at 3:00 pm, July 28, 2011. The last person in the weigh-in line at 2:00 pm will be identified by tournament directors.
9. No red drum over 28h will be weighed.
10. An Aggie designated weighmaster will weigh in the fish. If in his/her opinion, the fish was caught outside the tournament time frame or was tampered with in order to alter its weight and/or length, the contestant may be subject to an ass-beating.
11. All contestants are expected to follow the rules on their gAggie Wordh and subject to the Aggie Code of Honor. Any violations will be strictly enforced by ass-beating.
