So I get to spend the next 24hrs in Kingsville, the eateries appear to be slim pickin's. Anyone have insider knowledge of good hole-in-the-walls (or places to avoid)?

King's Inn...order the fried shrimp. It is actually 20-25 minutes from town, but worth the drive

Casa de tacos- ufo's rule
Youngs pizza- texacali sandwich
Pizza Parlor - pizza and lasagna rule.
Can't go wrong. We try to hit all these places anytime we are there.

I know it isn't in Kingsville but the last time I drove through Robstown, Cotton's had burned and was just sitting there. I wonder if they are going to rebuild it. I always looked forward to stopping in there to eat when I drove up 77.

El Taps was good. It kinda went down after it was sold in early 2k... Mom lived one street over so we spent plenty of time there.

Kings Inn is the only place worth eating at...near Kingsville.

That because Cottons BBQ burned down.

Agree with King's Inn as does most everyone. Butch's downtown 1 block north of the King Ranch Saddle Shop has excellent food and a decent atmosphere as well.
