I'll be down in San Benito for the day on business. Looking for a good place to eat. Mexican, Tex-Mex or BBQ.

Longhorn is some of the best BBQ in the Valley, not up to the standards of Central Texas BBQ. Don't get the sausage since it is some crappy Hilshire Farms or something similar.

For Mexican, Las Vegas Cafe and La Playa Mexican Cafe are both excellent choices.

I live in Edinburg but when I am in Harlingen my wife likes to eat a a TexMex place near the corner of Harrison and 77 Sunshine Strip. The name is Los Asados and It has a dish called Fried Stuffed Avocados. I have never had this before and it is real good. The avocado is stuffed with fajitas. You might try this. The address is 210 N Sunshine Strip.

I wish we had one here in McAllen. Our TexMex is mostly bad except for Kokos.
