El zarape > el pato and is not close

El Pato used to be the best in the late 90's.

I agree. Nothing beat the original El Pato. Especially after those late late nights.

Depends on what kind of taco you're looking for. I bite the bullet about twice a year because I like El Pato's beef guisada with cheese pato but it always sticks with me for the rest of the day.

For Jalisco-style tacos, I like Tacolandia. Its a total dive but authentic. Can't really comment on El Zarape because I've only had their tacos once or twice and it was quite some time ago. As everyone reading this already knows, its really about personal preference!

CCA, a large drink and two extra tortillas back in the day was $5.86. Two of us could eat that for lunch and it was good!!!

Zarape's < El Patos. and this is saying a lot because El Patos has gone down hill over the last couple of years. Used to eat there all the time but now...not so much. I can still eat them and I am very old ...I got lotsa Nexium!

Mrs. G's on 495 and near 23rd is about the best semblance of old El Pato there is. It is the former owners daughter's place. On Saturdays they have the Assorted Plate on special, I try to get it when I can.

Going to have to try that place out!
