Nope, I saw them issue a Severe Thunderstorm Warning last night and thought "wow". Well there was a pretty severe TS south and west of CC. I thought for sure it would make it to the RGV. But the drought ate that TS as well, I watched it. In about 15 minutes it went from a 3 county red blob to a smattering of light green tiny circles and by the time it moved south of Raymondville I would bet it was not more than a dark cloud. Amazing how darn dry it is down here.

And again this morning. A nice severe TD went from a monster to nothing in about an hour as it moved West towards Rio Grande City.

I had .04 inches of rain today. But I irrigated yesterday so the grass and trees are smiling.

Whatever rookie!!
After all the cloudy days over the past few months that have gotten us no rain, I wasn't particularly hopeful this morning with all the clouds. We thought about not going to church cause we didn't want to get wet but then figured it wasn't possible.
Ye of little faith. It was not raining when church started at 11:00 and when we got home at 12:30 we had 3.5" of rain. Yard was soaked and so was I - didn't mind a bit! I guess the big man upstairs was listening, after all.

2 1/2 inches at our place. had standing water when I came back from church.
