I have never been to SPI.

I have kids aged 6,4, and 10MO

We have done beach houses in galveston and freeport the last 3 years for MD

Is SPI Schlitterbahn fun for kids my age? My 6YO had a blast at the galveston schlitterbahn when I took her, and the whole family loved the original in NB.

Is it worth staying in the schlitterbahn hotel (I think it is new) or is there a better option?

I would like to hear any simple feedback about SPI. We have never been and money isn't really a problem, but we are not looking for luxury.

I hve been to SPI many times but have never been to Schlitterbahn. (I'm to old for that kind of stuff. ...but muy daughter's family with 4 kids 13,12,10,10 went and had a blast. SPI is a good place to go for the beach too.

It is OK, but it is not as big as the other waterparks. I don't think I would stay there. That being said I have not been since all the changes and what not.

FYI, if you do go during the Summer and on a Weekend get ready to feel like Davy Crockett at the Alamo. No biggie, but lots of Gringo's are appalled.

SPI is a great place, I think I would stay at another place though.

Meh i certainly think its worth checking out. The beach itself is nicer than Galveston or Freeport and the park is fine for kids that age.

The hotel is not new, just remodeled, and ive heard the water in the indoor play park wasnt heated although that might have changed since the opening.
