But why? Other than changing the skyline at the port and increasing tanker traffic through Brazos Santiago Pass, what are the fact-based reasons to decline the development? I'm not looking for emotional feelings for why one is against it but arguments based on fact. I know the naturalist community is completely against it but I haven't seen a solid argument for why it should be declined (coming from a group of people that has always been anti-growth on the Island and who seem to be rather hypocritical in remaining silent when it comes to wind turbine developments, knowing how detrimental they are to birds).
