Lots of talk around the Panhandle about how good Newton is, how many Newton players are D1 type of guys? I know about Sylvester from reading TexAgs.

Canadian has zero D1 guys and will be a big underdog on Thursday. Should be a noticeable difference in size between the teams. Canadian is not very big.

Well we sort of have internet in Canadian. It's about one step above dial-up.

At least 4 D1 prospects is what I found out. Plus one more that won't play due to some off of the field stuff.
Hopefully we give them a game.

Where the hell is Newton?!?

(Kidding)

Buddy of mine coaches a pretty decent 5A program in east Texas. A few days ago he laughingly said that Newton could have competed in their district this year. They've got athletes all over the field every year. It's in the water down there.
