I'm going to be in each town later this week and would appreciate restaurant recs for both places. Off the path seafood is preferred.

Check with some of the locals in Port Lavaca about seafood in Port O'Connor and Seadrift. I have not eaten there in a while but I know there are better places there than in Port Lavaca.

There's a new resturant in PL called Shellfish Sports Bar & Grill (http://www.shellfishdining.com/). The other options is Tropix, which is eh.

Otherwise you can go to Seadrift and eat at Barkett's. Or, to Port O'Connor to Clark's (I haven't been there in awhile, but wasn't too impressed with it)

Other than seafood in PL, your choices are mexican(a lot to choose from...all pretty equal, IMO), or Wagon Train, or Texana Steakhouse (which I'm guessing is still open)

In Ingleside you want Blackbeard's. It is quite different from its Blackbeard's sister in CC.

In Port Lavaca, Tropics is probably your best bet. Shellfish is very pricey. If you have the time, make the trek over to Palacios and go to The Outrigger.

I think Clark's is closed but not positive.

I have heard good things about Shellfish, but not eaten there myself yet.
