This all came out months ago during the election. But it wasn't a good story then.

They never should have gone in the building. No lives were at stake.

I'm close friends with one of the guys who got out. It is my understanding that when they first got on the scene, all of the workers were not accounted for, and they just didn't know.

One of the three trapped was a young guy. However my between my friend and the captain, they had about 30 years of experience (not that means they will always do the smartest thing).

I just didn't want them to come off as a stereotypical yahoo volunteer fire fighter.

they should have NEVER been sent in the bldg. there were NO lives at stake.

They weren't "sent". It was a Captain and an Assitant Captain. They chose to go in because they felt it was the right decision.

It's easy for all of us to play Monday morning QB now.
