I just won tickets to a concert at the Ford Pavilion in April and was wondering if there was anything worthwhile to do there if I drove in early. I was thinking of getting there Tuesday morning, spend all day before the show, spend the night and head out Wednesday.

As great as that would be, I was hoping of something that wouldn't make me have to shower and change before the concert. Besides, that is a bit farther away from Beaumont than I want. I might as well head to Lake Charles and gamble, which I might do anyway!

That was my next suggestion. An Aggie is in a management position at the Isle of Capri.

Crockett Street would be a pretty fun spot for dinner and pregame before you head to Ford Park.

I've lived in Beaumont for a year and I'm still trying to answer that very question.... This place is a definite adjustment for a newbie who doesn't know anyone!

Firemen's Museum, Energy Museum, Art Museum of Southeast Texas, French Home, McFadden Ward Home. There is a Pappadeaux's just down the road from Ford Park or if you prefer steak there is now a Salt Grass Steak House. Also a Cinemark just up the road and my personal favorite wafflehouse.
