We are going to Corpus for business so we are just extending our trip thru Labor Day. Haven't been to that area since I was a kid. We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott. I have already looked over the restaurant thread. Is there any must see spots? It is just my husband & I. We do have tickets to see Randy Rogers Band at Concrete Street. Any need to know advice on that? We can't drive our car on the beach so where would be a good beach for us? Thanks!

Bob Hall Pier on the island has a parking lot and then you can walk your stuff onto the sand. You can also fish off pier (if I remember correctly, you can possibly rent rod reel and tackle). The water has been decent but there's been a bit of seaweed lately.

As far as must see spots... The Aquarium and the Art Museum are pretty neat - you can get lunch at Hester's there which has great sandwiches and tour the museum.

You could also try and make it to a Hooks game.

I haven't been to the Lexington in a decade so I can't comment on that.

Something else that might be unique is a sunset dinner at Fajitaville - be ready for your meal and service to be slow but get some drinks and enjoy the sunset and that restaurant is beach side (on the nueces bay) so you can take a stroll after dinner.

The Harbor Playhouse has been doing Les Miserables but I'm not sure how much longer that is going on.

Take a ride down Shoreline, nice views, I grew up in Galveston and I'm not used there being actual topographic relief from the water, I love the views.

My wife and I like to eat at Blackbeards across the bridge (it's a purple building, you'd any miss it). Food is well priced and good, drinks the same, order the Grog, good strong drink.

I also really like the Museaum of Science and History, it's worth a visit. Of course my favorite part is the model of the Cat Cracker, my wife hates that I can stare at it for hours hahaha

Oh Harrison's landing is on one of t-heads, it's on a boat and it's good also, nice atmosphere.
