I might be getting a job in the northern corner of Port Arthur and I am looking for a little insight into what areas are the best to live in. My main focus would be on low crime, not flooding as much as possible. As far as schools go, I have a some time since my son isn't even one yet. I don't mind a driving up to 30 min each way.

How would y'all rank Bridge City, Nederland, Port Neches, and Groves? Which areas of each of these cities are the best?

Nederland or Pt. Neches. No question. Good schools, very, very low crime, etc. Have lived in Mid County for 28 years now. Small towns (approx 17,000 pop), 15 minutes to beaumont if you have to go there for anything and we border pt. arthur but dont have the crime or lousy schools. email lostshoe2003atyahoo.com I`ll help you any way I can.

You might also consider Fannett. We've been here 16 years and couldn't ask for better neighbors.
