As a young lad I saw the Harbor bridge start from scratch and finished in 1959. Beautiful structure, but I understand efforts are being made not to upgrade but to tear down and perhaps even build a tunnel.

Any comments or replies would be appreciated

New bridge proposed. Route likely going to be west of current bridge and is being currently in planning process.

Needs to be taller to accommodate bigger ships coming in to port w/ the new international businesses coming to Corpus.

I saw a proposed rendering of it and it reminded me of the Charlston bridge.

Thanks this will take years. I remember when the bridge was finished and CC had an expressway and how we thought the big times had arrived.

I imagine rush hour is rush minute compared to other cities in Texas.

This picture is incorrect The operations office was located on the north side of the bridge so the schooner is actually entering the port. This is a view from the wharves on the north side of the port looking east toward the bay
